The US Army took over part of the Cambridge Common with an elaborate celebration for its 230th birthday. Activists demonstrated against military recruitment, the Iraq war, and global US military violence. 7 protesters were arrested including 4 members of the Boston Direct Action Project. They will appear in Cambridge court on July 15th to face “disturbing the peace” charges.

Hello! I read about you in the Swedish magazine ETC the other day. It made me so happy to know that there are people in America doing something (even if ofcourse, somewhere I knew that, but you know..proof..) and I appreciated your action against the celebration of the army! I wonder: did you hear/see the nobel prize speech by harold pinter?
